Who We Are
PICTUM Ltd. (“Pictum”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a company registered in the United Kingdom with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, PICTUM Ltd. is the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, use the early access Pictum web app, or contact us through the site (together, the “Service”).
No account is currently required to use the Service.
Personal Data We May Process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- technical and usage data reasonably necessary to deliver the Service, such as IP address, browser or device information, request metadata, and security or performance logs;
- information you choose to send through our support form, such as your name, email address, and message;
- limited browser storage data, such as a locally stored theme preference, if you choose a display mode.
We do not currently require user accounts or profiles, and we do not currently run advertising cookies or behavioural analytics on the site.
How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so, including:
- to provide the Service and keep it secure, available, and functioning properly;
- to investigate bugs, misuse, abuse, or security incidents;
- to respond to support requests and communicate with you when you contact us;
- to comply with legal obligations;
- to improve and monitor the early access Service in a proportionate way.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR may include our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, taking steps at your request before providing support, compliance with legal obligations, and, where required, your consent.
Support Requests
If you use our support form, we process the information you submit so that we can review and respond to your request. Please do not send special category data, payment information, passwords, or other sensitive information through the support form.
Hosting, Storage, and Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the Service, including:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, delivery, and related infrastructure services; and
- Resend, for processing support form submissions and sending them to our support inbox.
Based on our current setup, we intend primary application hosting to be in Europe. However, some providers may process operational data, logs, or support communications outside the UK or EEA depending on their service configuration and delivery model.
International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we aim to use appropriate safeguards where required, such as adequacy regulations, approved contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and support recordkeeping.
Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the conversation, keep business records, and handle follow-up issues.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies on the site.
We may use limited local storage or similar browser technologies to remember functional preferences, such as your theme choice. This is used only to make the site work as you expect and is not used to build a behavioural profile about you.
Your Rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect personal data. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through the site.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
